Calculator checks for small business pricing and payments
Updated 2026-06-23
Use quick calculators to sanity-check fees, discounts, ROI, SaaS pricing, and invoice numbers before sending customer-facing numbers.
Start with this tool
Open the recommended ToolBento utility →Check fees before quoting a final number
Payment processing fees are easy to forget because they feel small on a single transaction. For invoices, paid downloads, retainers, and subscription tests, calculate the fee and net amount before you send the quote. A few percent can erase the margin on low-priced offers.
Use Stripe Fee Calculator or PayPal Fee Calculator as a planning estimate, then confirm important transactions against your actual processor dashboard because account-specific rates can differ.
Separate discounts from margin decisions
A discount calculator tells you the sale price and savings, but it does not tell you whether the promotion is profitable. Use it to avoid visible math mistakes, then compare the discounted price against costs, fees, taxes, and fulfillment work.
For recurring products, a low launch discount can look harmless until it renews for months. Write down whether the discount is one-time, first-month, annual, or permanent before publishing the offer.
Use ROI for first-pass comparisons
Simple ROI is useful when you need to compare a campaign, contractor, piece of software, or equipment purchase. It turns return and cost into a percentage so different projects can sit on the same page.
Do not make ROI carry every decision. Cash timing, risk, refunds, churn, and non-financial benefits may matter more than the first-pass percentage.
Keep invoice identifiers consistent
Invoice numbers are not glamorous, but inconsistent IDs create search and bookkeeping headaches later. Pick a prefix, date pattern, and sequence style you can keep using. Generate a few samples before changing your invoice template.
If you already use accounting software, follow that system's numbering rules instead of inventing a separate scheme on the side.
