How to calculate business days between two dates

A seven-day calendar gap is not always a seven-day work window. If a task starts on Monday and ends the following Monday, the useful work time is usually the weekdays in between, not the Saturday and Sunday. Counting business days helps when you are planning handoffs, support response times, client approvals, delivery windows, invoice terms, or internal deadlines that follow a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
What the calculator counts
ToolBento's Business Days Calculator counts weekdays from the selected Start date through the selected End date. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are included. Saturday and Sunday are skipped. The result is a simple Business days number, so it is best for quick weekday counting rather than a full payroll, legal, or holiday-calendar workflow.
What to enter in ToolBento
Open ToolBento's Business Days Calculator and choose two date fields. Start date is the first date in the range you want to check. End date is the last date in that same range. Use the normal calendar picker for both fields, and enter the earlier date first so the weekday count represents the period you actually mean to measure.
Press Calculate for the weekday count
After the Start date and End date look right, press Calculate. The tool returns a line such as Business days: 10. You can copy that number into a project plan, estimate email, invoice note, spreadsheet, or ticket comment without counting each weekday by hand.
Remember the range is inclusive
Because the calculator includes the start and end dates when they fall on weekdays, a range from Monday to Friday returns five business days. If your real-world rule starts counting after a notice date, or excludes the due date itself, adjust the final number to match that policy before you send it to a customer or teammate.
Holidays and company closures are separate
The calculator skips weekends, but it does not know local public holidays, bank holidays, office shutdowns, sick days, or regional workweek differences. For ordinary planning this is often enough. For legal deadlines, payroll, shipping promises, or service-level agreements, subtract the relevant holidays and check the official rules for the country or contract involved.
Small date mistakes to avoid
Check the year carefully around New Year and make sure copied dates use the format you expect. A date like 03/04 can mean different things in different countries, so use the calendar picker instead of relying on memory. If the result looks too high or too low, review whether you wanted calendar days, weekdays only, or a custom business calendar with holidays removed.
